Our client is now seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to work alongside the Transport Manager. You will be providing vital operational support to ensure legal compliance, driver management, and efficient fleet operations.

Key duties include:

  • Scheduling MOTs/servicing
  • Monitoring driver hours/infringements
  • Maintaining R2C records
  • Assisting with daily administration to ensure smooth logistics

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Compliance & Administration: Managing digital tachograph records, monitoring driver hours for infringements, and scheduling vehicle maintenance (MOTs, ADRs, Tank Tests).
  • Operational Support: Assisting with daily fleet operations, including checking vehicle compliance, managing PPE, and providing vehicle scheduling cover.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate records for maintenance, fuel, and agency staff while supporting KPIs for performance and efficiency.
  • Communication: Acting as a liaison between drivers, workshop staff, and management, often managing agency driver bookings.
  • Support: Providing cover for the Transport Manager during absences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Generally 2+ years within a transport, logistics, or administration office environment.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of transport regulations, driver hours, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  • Attributes: High attention to detail, proactive, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Reporting: Reports directly to the Transport Manager or Transport Officer.
  • Focus: Ensures maximum vehicle uptime and legal compliance.

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.
