Our client is a leading global logistics provider acknowledged for its expertise across all aspects of the supply chain. The company provides services within Air freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight and Express Distribution.
They are looking for someone to join their Freight Forwarding division dealing with Air and Ocean freight Imports primarily. You will need to be good at problem solving.
Duties will include:
- Dealing with Import shipments via Air and Ocean Freight
- Liaise with overseas offices
- Booking shipments and calculate charges and updating system making profitable decisions
- Book Hauliers and organise with customers with regards to delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers
- Checking customs procedures are all ok and in place
- Close file and print airway bills
- Pass invoices
Requirements:
- 2/3 years experience of working with a freight forwarder
- Experience of dealing with Air or Ocean freight
- Knowledge of port systems
- Good knowledge of IT systems
You will be proactive, flexible, and happy to work within a team.
