Our client provides a range of freight solutions covering European markets, and provides a smooth transition service from door to door. They are currently seeking a European Import/Export clerk to work in their Ipswich/Felixstowe branch. Ideally you will have some experience of freight forwarding and any additional languages will be a bonus.
Duties will include:
- Managing the transportation of goods across Europe and into the UK
- Dealing with both European Imports and Exports
- Organising Full loads shipments
- Liaison with overseas agents
- Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated with regards to their shipments and any delays
- Dealing with customer queries
- Managing all paperwork to ensure compliance regulations are met
- Liaising with HMRC
- Maintaining clear communications with customers and carriers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
To be successful for the role you will ideally need to have some experience of Road freight operations either working within a transport office or within a freight forwarders and any European language skills will be an advantage.
Salary to 30/35k depending on experience.
