Our client, expanding within the ocean export sector, seeks an Ocean Export LCL Operator for their Basildon office. The main purpose of the role is to manage the export LCL process from start to finish via the in‑house system.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive bookings from clients and issue confirmation email.
  • Book containers with carriers and apply for hazardous approval to ensure the most efficient and profitable loadings.
  • Liaise with UK warehouses to book container loading.
  • Issue loading manifests to warehouses.
  • Check Master Bill of Lading and send out pre‑alerts to overseas agents.
  • Organise transport with UK warehouses if required.
  • Ensure all operational issues are dealt with promptly and effectively, and records are noted on the file.
  • Check purchase invoices to confirm correct charges and costs, and pass for payment.
  • Deal with invoice queries and notify appropriate parties.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in ocean exports (FCL or LCL).
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary of £30–35k depending on experience, work within a friendly team with full support from management. The office is modern, open‑plan and centrally located. Location: Basildon, Essex.
