Salary: Sixth Form Colleges' Association Teachers' pay spine from Points 1-9 (£33,465 - £51,714 per annum). The post will be fixed term for one year from 1st September 2026. Full and Part time positions available.

Loreto College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Biology & Applied Science to join our vibrant and successful Biology and Applied Science departments. Both subjects at Loreto College are popular and deliver high success rates and excellent student progression, with many students going onto fantastic destinations. The departments run a range of extra-curricular activities and trips that make these exciting subjects to study at Loreto.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning under the leadership of the Heads of Department.
  • Undertake regular assessment of students' work and provide timely feedback.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students using the college's bespoke in-house systems.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the subjects in line with awarding organisation specifications.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues.
