Role Overview: The Site Supervisor will manage all aspects of the estate, including health and safety and the Site Team. As the role is both operational and managerial, the postholder will be required to have a "hands on" approach and lead by example, as a good proportion of the role will involve practical site activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the school, providing a clean, healthy and safe environment for users of the school buildings, grounds and gardens.
- Carry out maintenance and repair work requiring non‑specialist skills on the school buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings.
- Perform general lifting and assist the premises team with cleaning duties.
- Support the implementation of relevant policies including Health and Safety and CoSHH.
- Lead a small team, work on their own initiative, and maintain a flexible approach.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Practical DIY skills and proficiency in the operation of machinery.
- Good communicator, happy to lead a small team and work independently.
- An understanding and ability to support the implementation of relevant policies including Health and Safety and CoSHH would be an advantage.
