Job Title: Deputy Facilities Manager Location: Hulme, Manchester Salary: £31,219 – £33,325 per annum depending on experience (SFCA Support Staff pay spine points) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Closing Date: 26 November 2024 at 10:00am The College is looking to appoint an experienced Deputy Facilities Manager to join our Facilities Team. In this role you will collaborate closely with, and deputise for, the Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our premises. This will include security, maintenance and safety. About the Role: Your responsibilities will include developing written procedures, ensuring premises security, monitoring health and safety, managing alarm systems and opening and closing buildings. Additionally you will support cleaning staff, promptly address repairs, supervise and contribute to grounds maintenance and monitor facility usage. There will be a requirement for the post holder to respond to emergency call outs and liaise with external contractors, supervising their work. About you: You will have experience of dealing with a variety of general maintenance tasks and supervising staff. You should be an effective communicator who can liaise with students, staff, visitors and contractors in a helpful and cooperative manner. As part of the role, you will be required to adapt quickly to new environments and technologies, working to deadlines in an organised manner.
