We are on the lookout for a passionate and strategic Media Manager to join L’Oréal UKI’s Garnier team to orchestrate and lead impactful, data-driven campaigns across all Garnier Skin and Hair product categories.
You will lead budget allocation, agency partnerships, and innovative media activations while maximising ROI; playing a key role in driving our brand performance in collaboration with our dynamic cross-functional teams.
- A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Strategic Media Planning & Budget Management
- Oversee Garnier media budget allocation, defining priorities, and making data-driven investment decisions aligned with business goals (market share, consumer targeting, etc.) while adhering to budget and governance rules.
This includes strong, seamless collaboration with brand and finance teams on spend management and phasing.
- Agency Partnership & ROI
- Inspire and mobilise our media agency partners, leading this relationship to develop and execute high performing full-funnel media plans in partnership with our wider brand teams.
Incorporate best practices and learnings from internal studies (BETi Q, Rules of Engagement) to maximize media ROI.
- Data-Driven Media Activation
- Drive the adoption of 1P data in media campaigns, leading test-and-learn initiatives and 2P activations to optimise performance.
- Competitive Analysis & Innovation
- Analyse competitive investment trends, media mix, and creative strategies to inform Garnier's media approach and identify innovative opportunities, collaborating with the multi-divisional media team to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of media best practices.
- Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders (brand, advocacy, online teams) and external partners (media agencies, platforms, retailers, networks) to drive effective communication, collaboration, and the achievement of business objectives.
- Team Development & Media Expertise
- Provide media expertise and support to the brand team, fostering media upskilling and knowledge sharing within the team.
Who You Are
- Strong media expertise & experience; analysing, owning & delivering full funnel media plans; with a passion for breaking new ground when it comes to local activation magic.
- Strong expertise & understanding of the role of different media channels & platforms, objectives & measurement techniques.
- Media planning experience on traditional & digital channels.
- Demonstrable experience in relevant media roles (agency, group or advertiser).
- Strong interest in media, market developments and innovation, with curiosity to try the unproven
- Comfortable with data analysis and budget management within complex environments.
- Strong understanding of Retail Media
- Experience of matrix structures and reporting lines.
- Effective, engaging communicator with strong written & verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex or technical matters in a simple way across all levels of the organisation.
- A positive attitude to ambiguity and able to tackle problems with a structured approach
- Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with internal teams and agency partners.
