As part of the CDMO team at L'Oréal UK & Ireland, the CMI (Consumer & Market Insights) team works cross-functionally with all of our divisions. Our mission is to leverage market and consumer insights to drive sustainable, ethical growth for L'Oréal and its retail clients, creating a powerful competitive advantage in the UK & Ireland. Reporting directly to the Head of Market Insights, L'Oréal UK & Ireland, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various business functions—including marketing, sales, e-commerce, and media—to manage brand and category performance, track competitor activity, and identify strategic growth opportunities within the UK market.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Market & Consumer Analysis: Analyzing complex data from distributor and consumer panels (such as IRI and Nielsen) to deeply understand the UK Health & Beauty market dynamics, competitor performance, key retail landscapes, and evolving consumer trends.
  • Strategic Recommending: Translating intricate data analysis into clear, actionable decision-making tools and strategic recommendations for brand teams and top management to implement across the UK.
  • Ad-Hoc Business Partnering: Responding to agile business requests by providing fast, detailed, and customized analyses to solve strategic challenges for different cross-functional teams.
  • Data Mastery: Building absolute expertise in UK market data. You will champion autonomy in learning new methodologies, utilizing data consolidation tools, and designing advanced dashboards with the technical backing of external partners.
  • Analytics & Automation Projects: Partnering closely with IT and global data teams to lead data management and analytics projects, ensuring optimal UK market coverage and automating key business reports.
  • Key Stakeholder Collaboration: Serving as the main point of contact for UK market data providers (IRI, Nielsen, etc.), managing and challenging partner research institutes, and collaborating daily with Finance, Sales Forecasting, and commercial teams to align sell-in and sell-out data.

WHO YOU ARE

  • An Analytical Expert: Prior experience in market research or marketing data analysis (either in-house within a Marketing/Insights department or from a Panel Research Institute), with a strong focus on the UK market.
  • A Strategic Business Partner: You possess deep expertise in business analytics, a strong understanding of UK sales and marketing practices, and a proven track record of tackling strategic brand and product challenges.
  • A Collaborative Leader: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to influence, lead, and energize cross-functional teams with a highly collaborative and enthusiastic spirit.
  • Tech & Data Savvy: You are passionate about new technologies. You have hands-on experience in Data Management (governance, deploying and leading projects) and Data Analytics (BI, dashboarding, machine learning) applied to commercial environments.
