As the Head of Advocacy & Influence in the Consumer Products Division, you will set & implement our vision to be the most talked about, most loved, and most future-proofed makeup brands in the industry. You will lead your team to drive a forward-thinking Social strategy across all channels – ensuring we’re always present & relevant on the hottest makeup platforms, leading the latest trends (e.g. winning on Live). In addition, you’ll develop a clear Advocacy strategy for the team to land – ensuring we’re building our brands with the most relevant people & partners – from influencers, to celebrities, to journalists, and relevant brands & charity partners. Finally, you’ll be OBSESSED with bringing consumers into our brand, as well as exploring new ways to build strong communities within our brands through platforms like Bulbshare. You will work closely with the CMO team & alongside the CPD Head of Digital transformation and be a key pioneer of Advocacy & Community for Digital-native brands within the Group.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Manage, coach & grow a strong team of Social Brand Managers, Senior Advocacy Manager & Assistant - ensuring we have the right profiles & ways of working in place to maximise our brands’ vision.
  • Be a key close partner for our UKI CDO team, as well as our Digital & Ecommerce teams working closely with retail partners.
  • Building close partnerships with relevant external stakeholders – such as Platform leads, retailers, talent agencies.
  • Sharing best practices & knowledge across the Consumer Products Division.
  • Drive the vision for our 3 brands’ advocacy missions to prioritise brand love & talkability, with a future-proofed strategy.
  • Platforms: overseeing Social Brand Managers’ creation of all organic & paid content across Social channels, ensuring it’s hyper-relevant & forward thinking. Ensuring we’re on the right platforms & looking into future opportunities, overseeing the team’s real-time analysis of what’s working & not.
  • People: setting a clear vision for your team on our celebrity & influencer strategy in partnership with our brands, developing close relationships with relevant stakeholders & exploring new, relevant opportunities.
  • Partnerships: working closely with our PR, brand & charity partners, overseeing the Comms Manager to ensure best-in-class partnerships with our key stakeholders, and creating cut-through events & brand moments to engage our communities.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven experience in Social, Advocacy, Influence or Comms – ideally within a fast-paced consumer brand, agency or media environment.
  • A strong people leader with a track record of managing, coaching and growing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deeply knowledgeable of the social and influencer landscape, with a natural instinct for cultural relevance.
  • Commercially astute – able to connect brand love and talkability to tangible business impact.
  • A confident and credible communicator, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments.
  • Collaborative by nature, with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and with external partners.
  • Data-driven with a sharp eye for performance – you know what’s working and you act on it quickly.
