About the Role: Do you have a passion for people and a drive to make a difference? At L'Oréal, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. Our HR Generalist team sits at the heart of the business, playing a crucial role in creating a positive, high-performance employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle.

As an HR Generalist Intern, you won't just be observing; you will be an active partner to our HR Business Leaders. This role is designed for a high-energy individual who is proactive, solution-oriented, and ready to gain a deep, "hands-on" understanding of what it means to manage the human capital of a global beauty leader.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Providing essential support on generalist HR tasks, including contract changes, onboarding logistics, and offboarding procedures.
  • Employee Relations: Supporting HR Business Partners with employee relations cases, ensuring all documentation is accurate and company policies are upheld.
  • Project Management: Assisting with the rollout of key HR initiatives, such as annual employee engagement surveys (Pulse) and culture-building workshops.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintaining data integrity within our HR systems and seeking ways to improve existing HR processes for better efficiency.
  • Community Engagement: Partnering with our "NextGen" community to ensure our intern and apprentice talent are integrated and supported.
  • Ad-hoc Advisory: Acting as a first point of contact for employee queries, providing clear and helpful guidance on L'Oréal’s HR policies.

Your Profile:

  • We are looking for someone who doesn't wait for instructions but sees what needs to be done and takes the lead.
  • Proactivity & Drive: You are a "self-starter" with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to see projects through to completion.
  • Passionate about HR: You have a genuine interest in Human Resources as a career and a foundational understanding of the "Generalist" model (the mix of operational, administrative, and strategic people management).
  • Communication Excellence: You can build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-Oriented: You understand that in HR, accuracy is non-negotiable. You have a keen eye for detail in every task you perform.
  • Tech Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and are comfortable learning new HR information systems.

Eligibility: You must currently be in your second year of university on a course that allows for a one-year Industrial Placement.

What We Offer:

  • A fast-paced, challenging internship within the world’s #1 beauty company.
  • Direct exposure to HR Business Partnering and the complexities of a large-scale business.
