As a Community Engagement Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting the growth of L'OrĂ©alistar (LâOrealâs creator community) and elevating the capabilities of the creators within the community. This role focuses on developing and executing comprehensive upskilling programs, managing key partnerships, and orchestrating engaging events to foster a highly skilled, loyal, and engaged creator network.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Develop & Execute A Comprehensive Activation Calendar: Create and manage a holistic activation calendar that strategically plans and integrates all upskilling initiatives, community events, and partnership activities, ensuring a coherent and impactful schedule throughout the year for our creator community.
- Plan and Execute In-Person Events: Strategically plan and oversee quarterly in-person events across the country, designed to bring our L'Oréalistar creators together for networking, learning, and brand immersion.
- Create In-Platform Upskilling content: Collaborate closely with our L'Oréalistar activation agency (SAMY) to design, create and implement an engaging in-platform upskilling journey.
- Host Virtual Masterclasses: Lead and host monthly virtual masterclasses, offering in-depth sessions focused on crucial topics such as brand guidelines, advanced social platform strategies, and cutting-edge content creation techniques.
- Forge and Nurture Key Platform Partnerships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with Joint Business Partners (JBPs) such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Work proactively with key brand stakeholders across L'Oréal to understand their needs, align on content, and ensure all upskilling and engagement efforts effectively support broader brand objectives and creator campaigns within the community.
- Monitor and Report on Impact: Track key metrics related to creator engagement, skill development, and event success, providing regular insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of our community programs.

- Someone with a deep understanding of the creator economy, influencer marketing trends, and the intricacies of social media platforms.
- An excellent communicator and presenter, able to engage and inspire diverse audiences both virtually and in person.
- Highly organised and detailâoriented, with proven experience in project and event management within a community context.
- Proactive and resourceful, always seeking innovative ways to enhance creator value and engagement.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, community management, or creator/influencer relations.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing successful community events, both inâperson and virtual, with and/or without agency management.
- A proven track record of developing educational content or upskilling programs for digital communities.
- Mastery in public speaking and presentation design, with the ability to lead engaging workshops and keynotes.
- Experience building and managing relationships with external partners, ideally with social media platforms or similar JBPs, to benefit a community.
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and their creator ecosystems.
- Experience collaborating with crossâfunctional teams and managing stakeholder expectations within a communityâfocused role.
