As a trusted learning partner, you will drive a high-performance learning culture in the UK and Ireland, preparing our employees for growth with the critical skills they need now and in the future. Reporting to the People Development & Learning Director (PD&L) and managing a PD&L Apprentice, you will shape the future of L'Oréal by leading the development offer for a number of strategic functions in the business and lead Country-wide initiatives, such as Connect, AI and DE&I upskilling.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Lead the development and execution of functional learning pathways, including Marketing, Digital, IT, CA&E, Retail Design & Visual Merchandising and Sustainability, in partnership with senior leaders across our Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Teams.
- Identify key functional learning needs, anticipating future development needs and identifying any critical skills gaps, to ensure we have a learning offer in place to meet these, either at international or local level.
- Regularly review the learning needs for your populations, with senior leaders and HR, ensuring all in-scope employees are participating in relevant and timely upskilling for their roles.
- Allocate, manage and track your annual training budget, ensuring strong ROI and drive cost-effective solutions.
- Lead the Country Connect Campaign upskilling, proactively partnering with HR, Reward, Leaders and Managers on the key performance process across the year.
- Lead, evolve and roll out our Country AI upskilling roadmap for the Augmented Employee, in partnership with our CDMO team, HR and leaders, building on the international PD&L frame to be tailored for our local market.
- Lead, evolve and roll out our Country Diversity, Equity & Inclusion upskilling roadmap, in partnership with the UK&I DE&I Lead.
- Lead our Soft & Business skills annual program, maintaining close partnerships with our external suppliers, ensuring relevancy and an effective nominations process with the business.
- Oversee data management and analytics for PD&L managed by the PD&L Apprentice, leveraging data insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive key Learning initiatives.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative learning professional who excels at turning business needs into engaging, learner-centric experiences. You are a trusted partner to senior leaders and are skilled at driving large-scale change initiatives. You have:
- Proven experience in strategic learning design and program development, creating engaging and impactful learning experiences, and facilitating presentations, training or events in various learning formats.
- Strong project and campaign management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder partnership and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships with senior leadership and managing stakeholders in a matrix model.
- A data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills, to measure impact and inform decisions.
- Experience in budget management and leading others is a plus.
ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Activation Excellence: Designing activation plans to deploy the strategy at scale on the target scope, coordinating rigorously their execution from end to end, and monitoring results to adjust the plan when needed.
- Artificial Intelligence Fluency: Leveraging knowledge of AI capabilities and limitations to work effectively with AI systems through appropriate task delegation, recommendation interpretation and human judgment aligned with regulations, L'Oréal values & ethics.
- Budget Management: Creating and managing a budget to control the costs and profitability of a department or project.
- Change Adoption Activation: Leveraging a network of advocates, key users, early adopters to spread knowledge and skills and sustain a momentum of adoption for engaging at scale and over time.
- Culture Transmission: Sharing the specificities of L'Oréal culture without personal bias, respecting the group guidelines about our heritage & culture, showing how they concretely reflect on our ways of working and behaving, in an engaging way, with an intentional learning method, and with passion.
- Eventing: Successfully planning, coordinating and executing digital, physical or hybrid events consistent with the Group's standards and commitments.
- Facilitation: Designing and delivering effective presentations, trainings or events, whatever the format (in-class, virtual class, livestreaming…), that engage the audience in understanding and learning about a new or existing topic.
- Learning Content Design: Creating engaging and impactful learning experiences, by combining different techniques, contents, and using the right pedagogical tools.
