Each year, we welcome up to 28 graduates from diverse academic backgrounds to join our Supply Chain Management Trainee Programme. This early exposure will provide you with the breadth of knowledge to ensure you start your career with a strong foundation.

Real Opportunities in Supply Chain

L’Oréal Supply Chain is the beating heart of our business. Every year, we manufacture 4.6 billion units, and ensuring our products hit the shelves at the right time and price is no small feat.

As a Supply Chain Management Trainee, you’ll liaise with our factories across Europe, working closely with Marketing and Commercial teams to accurately forecast product potential, maximise service levels, and reduce costs while staying within budget. You may also have the opportunity to complete a rotation in one of our Distribution Centres in Nottingham or Manchester or within our Sourcing teams.

From day one, we’ll expect you to bring curiosity and innovation to improve processes. You’ll need to be analytically minded, a logical thinker, and capable of providing clear solutions to complex problems. Strong networking skills are essential, as you’ll interact with various areas of the business.

Real Responsibility

Some of the responsibilities our recent Supply Chain graduates have taken on include:

  • Collaborating with one of the UK’s biggest retailers to improve supply chain distribution.
  • Coordinating exciting brand launches by working with factories across Europe and international teams in Paris.
  • Leading a team as a Team Leader in our Manchester Distribution Centre.
  • Developing and implementing strategic projects with major suppliers.
  • Leading Finished Goods tenders and Value Reengineering projects.
  • Supporting the Sourcing team’s activities.
  • Working cross-functionally to understand different departments, business priorities, and strategies.

What We’re Looking For

Our 2025 graduate intake demonstrated:

  • Leadership skills developed during university or work experience.
  • Tangible achievements beyond the norm.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a desire to be challenged daily.
  • Many spoke a second language and were keen on an international career.
  • Previous relevant work experience or internships (preferred).
  • Final-year university students graduating in 2026 or recent graduates (within the last two years).
  • Available to start in either July 2026 or January 2027.

Next Steps

  • Application: Complete the online application, answering a few eligibility questions.
  • Cognitive Tests: If you are eligible, you’ll be invited to complete cognitive tests to assess numerical ability and other skills.
  • Assessment Centre: If successful, you’ll be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre. These will run throughout the recruitment period and are specific to each function.
