L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty, home to iconic brands like CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Vichy, and SkinCeuticals, is seeking a dynamic and highly creative Owned Social Media Manager to join our fast-paced UK team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of shaping our organic social media strategy, primarily across Instagram and TikTok, transforming scientific innovation into engaging content and fostering genuine connections with millions of consumers who trust our dermatological expertise.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Organic Social Media Strategy & Management: Develop and implement comprehensive organic social media strategies for CeraVe on key platforms, with a primary focus on Instagram and TikTok. Oversee and manage our social media agency, ensuring strategic alignment, high-quality output, and efficient workflow. Drive daily content posting on TikTok, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence that resonates with platform trends and audience preferences.
  • Content Creation & Production: Lead the creation of compelling and brand-aligned content, including product-focused visuals and engaging Employee Generated Content (EGC), to showcase our brands and products authentically. Work closely with advocacy teams to secure content usage rights for influencer collaborations, maximising the impact of our partnerships. Brief and guide User Generated Content (UGC) initiatives, harnessing the power of our community. Attend brand shoots and events to capture high-quality, authentic Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) content, enhancing our social storytelling. Collaborate closely with brand teams to align social media activities with overarching campaign objectives and key calendar moments.
  • TikTok Shop & Commercial Integration: Partner closely with our Commercial and Community teams to support the successful launch and ongoing performance of TikTok Shop. Conceptualise and produce innovative, "brilliant shoppable content" designed to convert on TikTok Shop, with the foresight for its potential repurposing in broader media campaigns.
  • Community Engagement & Social Flirting: Lead our "Social Flirting" initiatives, actively engaging with consumers and creators to build brand awareness, foster loyalty, and share positive brand sentiment. Collaborate with our e-beauty advisors to upskill and educate our audience on product benefits and skincare science through interactive social interactions. Work with the social agency to implement a strategic community engagement outreach program. Champion and lead the "Listening Labs" project, a holistic approach to gathering consumer insights from social conversations. Partner with the search and content team to analyse social data, identify emerging trends, and share actionable insights with brand teams and the wider division to inform future campaigns and strategies.
  • Trend Identification & Innovation: Act as the division's "Trend Champion," proactively identifying emerging social media trends, formats, and functionalities. Develop and share innovative content concepts with advocacy and brand teams, encouraging the adoption of new approaches in their campaigns. Lead the divisional efforts in championing the award-winning "Project Edge," ensuring our content remains cutting-edge and impactful.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Proven experience in managing owned social media channels, particularly Instagram and TikTok, ideally within the beauty, skincare, or FMCG sector.
  • Demonstrable expertise in short-form video content creation and strategy, with a keen eye for engaging storytelling and platform-specific nuances.
  • Experience in managing external agencies and driving collaborative projects.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics, listening tools, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, creative, and agile mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embracing new trends.
  • A passion for skincare and a genuine interest in the dermatological beauty space.
  • Experience with TikTok Shop or similar shoppable content platforms is a plus.
