A Day in the Life
As the Maintenance Manager at our SalonCentric distribution center in East Manchester, PA, you will ensure our facility is safe, clean, and fully functional. You will report to the AVP of Distribution Center Operations, lead the maintenance team, manage all work order requests, and act as a key liaison with outside contractors to ensure our facility runs smoothly.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop the facility maintenance team, establishing clear performance standards and promoting a strong safety mindset.
- Facility & Equipment Upkeep: Own the preventative maintenance process for all building, conveyor, and equipment systems. Manage relationships with landlords and contractors to facilitate building and grounds upkeep.
- Safety & Security: Champion all safety and housekeeping tasks, collaborate with the EHS Manager on environmental requirements and energy‑saving projects, own site security systems (cameras, badge access), and participate in corporate security audits.
- Capital Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects to enhance facility infrastructure, safety, and operational capabilities.
- Operational Excellence: Develop standard operating procedures, manage the fixed‑asset register, and drive improvements to ensure a highly efficient and safe distribution environment.
We Are Looking For
- A High School Diploma (required); a college degree is preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume distribution environment.
- Strong technical knowledge, including automation, PLCs, conveyors, and building systems.
- Excellent computer, analytical, and communication skills.
- The ability to be flexible, organized, and detail‑oriented, with a skill for managing multiple tasks and driving change.
- The following certifications are preferred, but not required: CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician), CMT (Certified Maintenance Technician), NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills), or EPA Amusement Operators Safety Certification.
- The ability to wear required protective equipment, including eyewear, footwear, hand protection, and safety vests.
