Duration: 18 months

Start Dates: July 2026 or January 2027

Application Deadline: Rolling

Annual Salary: £35,000

L’Oréal sells 50 products every second worldwide. That’s over 4 million products a day, if you’re wondering. We know that people are different, which is why we’ll create an individually tailored management training programme just for you.

Each year, we welcome up to 40 graduates from diverse academic backgrounds to join our Marketing Management Trainee Programme. Over 18 months, you’ll complete three rotations across a variety of roles, gaining a unique overview of how different functions and divisions operate. This early exposure will provide you with the breadth of knowledge to ensure you start your career with a strong foundation.

What You’ll Do

If you want to learn about consumer goods marketing from one of the best in the business, this is the place to do it. Every year, we launch hundreds of new products into this fiercely competitive market, and as a graduate on our programme, you’ll have the opportunity to work across any of our 39 global brands.

Take Diesel’s “Only the Brave” fragrance launch, for example. One of our graduates played a pivotal role in this campaign, liaising directly with agencies on point-of-sale merchandise and negotiating prices with retailers to ensure the launch was a major success. The result? Diesel’s “Only the Brave” became the UK’s biggest fragrance launch ever for L’Oréal.

As a marketer at L’Oréal, you’ll need ambition, resilience, and creativity to bring your brand’s vision to life in a challenging market. You’ll think strategically and creatively to develop innovative ideas, manage ever-changing deadlines, and create successful campaigns. Understanding your consumer is key, so you’ll monitor and report on your brand’s performance and its competitors, all while building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and management potential.
  • The ability to work within tight deadlines, both internal and external.
  • Excellent organisational skills, proactivity, and effective planning.
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
  • A logical, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in an office environment (preferred).

Eligibility

  • Final-year university students graduating in 2026 or recent graduates (within the last two years).
  • Available to start in either July 2026 or January 2027.

Why L’Oréal?

At L’Oréal, we celebrate diversity and inclusion, creating an environment where everyone is valued and empowered to thrive. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, as we believe our differences drive innovation and creativity.

Next Steps

  • Application: Complete the online application, answering a few eligibility questions.
  • Online Assessments: If eligible, you’ll receive a link to complete online assessments. Submit your answers promptly to move forward in the process.
  • Assessment Centre: If successful, you’ll be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre. These will run throughout the recruitment period and are specific to each function.

Note: If you apply for multiple roles, we’ll consider you for the one most aligned with your profile. To ensure your preference, apply only to your top-choice role.
