The Events Night Chef de Partie at Sea Containers Hotel is a critical role within the culinary team, specializing in overseeing and executing culinary operations during evening events. This position involves leading a specific section of the kitchen during night-time events, ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes meet high standards, and collaborating with the night culinary team to deliver exceptional experiences. The role will report directly to the Events Head Chef and will have a dotted reporting line to the Executive Chef at the location the position is based at.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and deliver high-quality event menus during evening and night-time service
- Lead and support junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants on shift
- Maintain consistency, presentation, and flavour through strong quality control
- Collaborate with the wider events and culinary teams to meet client expectations
- Support set-up and breakdown of event kitchens and night operations
- Assist with stock control and ordering for night events
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
- Engage with clients during events, responding professionally to feedback or requests

- Proven experience in a hotel or high-end events kitchen environment
- Strong communicator with confident leadership and organisational skills
- Passionate about food quality, detail, and presentation
