The Breakfast Chef de Partie at Sea Containers Hotel plays a key role in the culinary team, specializing in breakfast preparation and service. This position involves assisting in the execution of breakfast menus, managing a specific section of the kitchen, and ensuring the high-quality and timely delivery of breakfast dishes. The role will report directly to the Sous Chef and will have a dotted reporting line to the Head Chef at the location the position is based at.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and execute breakfast dishes to established recipes and standards
- Lead and manage a section during breakfast service, supervising junior chefs
- Ensure high levels of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Support menu development and execute dishes in line with senior chef direction
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams for smooth service
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and health & safety compliance
- Interact positively with guests to enhance the breakfast dining experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or high-quality breakfast kitchen environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Confident communicator and supportive team leader
- Passionate about food, detail, and guest experience
- Experience within luxury or lifestyle hospitality preferred
