We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at our Watford branch. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles.
- Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site.
- Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required.
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation.
- Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues.
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns.
- Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift.
- Previous experience working in a builders’ merchant environment.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

- Hours: 7am–5pm Monday to Friday, 7am–12pm alternate Saturdays.
- 21 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays.
