Move stock. Support customers. Power the yard. We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the friendly, hardworking yard team at our flagship Park Royal branch. This is a fast-paced, hands‑on role where you’ll be right at the heart of a busy builders’ merchant operation. You’ll play a key role in keeping the depot running smoothly — picking loads, loading and unloading vehicles, supporting customers and suppliers, and helping maintain a safe, well‑organised yard.
If you take pride in doing things properly and enjoy being part of a team that keeps the wheels turning, this is a great opportunity to join a growing business where your contribution really counts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating a forklift safely to pick, load and unload vehicles
- Assisting customers, suppliers and drivers arriving on site
- Keeping the yard clean, organised and well presented
- Managing stock rotation and highlighting any shortages or issues
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery
- Reporting any defects or safety concerns promptly
- Working closely with the yard team to ensure a smooth, efficient operation
If you’re looking for a busy, physical role in a flagship branch where teamwork matters and no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 7am-12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 23 days per year plus Bank Holidays
Salary: £30,159 per annum
Benefits: Discretionary bonus scheme
What we’re looking for:
- Valid forklift licence and hands‑on operating experience
- Previous experience in a builders’ merchant environment
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors
- A strong understanding of health & safety
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A reliable, safety‑focused and "get stuck in" attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eligible to work in the UK
