Lords Builders Merchants is looking for an Electrical Branch Manager to take full ownership of the electrical department at our Sudbury branch. This is not a back-office role. It’s a hands-on, commercially focused position where you’ll be expected to drive performance, grow revenue, and make a visible impact on the branch.
You’ll be responsible for the performance of the electrical department — from sales and margins through to stock, suppliers and customer relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive sales growth and consistently deliver against targets
- Take ownership of customer relationships, winning new business and growing existing accounts
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to delivery
- Set pricing and manage margins with a strong commercial focus
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Control stock levels, range and availability
- Run the day-to-day operation of the department
- Work closely with the wider branch team to deliver results
What we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years’ experience within the electrical industry, with clear evidence of delivering results
- Strong electrical product knowledge and understanding of the trade
- A proven track record in a sales-driven environment
- Commercial awareness and confidence managing pricing and margins
- The ability to build relationships and win business
- A proactive, hands-on approach with real ownership
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Eligible to work in the UK
Hours: 7am–5pm Monday to Friday, 8am–12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 23 days plus Bank Holidays
Salary: Competitive
