AW Lumb & Co is looking for a qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) to join our finance team at our Dewsbury head office. This is a full-time, office-based role (37.5 hours per week) offering the chance to work closely with senior leadership while supporting the financial performance of a well-established business. The position offers a clear development pathway to take on the Financial Controller role in the future.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Prepare management accounts, financial statements and supporting analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Produce sales and margin analysis to support commercial decision-making
- Work closely with operational teams to provide meaningful financial insight
- Support the purchase ledger and credit control teams when required
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
- Contribute to the wider financial operations of a busy, hands-on business
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Qualified accountant – ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
- Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident using financial systems and advanced Excel
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
