Keep the yard moving. Set the standard. Be part of a team that delivers every day. We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the team at our busy Beaconsfield depot. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the branch, helping to keep the yard safe, organised and running efficiently while supporting both colleagues and customers. What you’ll be doing:
- Operating a forklift safely to pick, load and unload vehicles
- Preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers arriving at the depot
- Helping maintain a safe, organised and well‑presented yard
- Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects
- Supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the yard and working closely with the wider branch team
What we’re looking for:
- Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift
- Experience working in a Builders Merchant environment
- Strong awareness of yard safety and operational standards
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A proactive, reliable approach with the confidence to take ownership of tasks
- Good communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
- Eligible to work in the UK
Due to the location of the branch, your own reliable transport is required.
Competitive Salary Offered
Hours: 7am–5pm Monday–Friday, 7am–12pm alternate Saturdays
Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays
Benefits: Discretionary bonus scheme
