Looking for a leadership role where you can really make an impact? We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Branch Manager to join our newly rebranded Horsham branch. This is a hands-on, sales-focused role with real responsibility — supporting the Branch Manager while helping drive branch performance, customer growth and operational excellence.

You’ll be a visible leader in the branch, building strong customer relationships, motivating the team, and driving sales.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Driving sales performance and developing new and existing customer accounts
  • Supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch
  • Leading by example on customer service and sales standards
  • Managing stock levels, deliveries, transport and branch operations
  • Supporting with banking, cash reconciliation and branch administration
  • Helping manage and develop branch colleagues
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working in a builders’ merchant (minimum 2 years)
  • A strong sales background with a proven ability to grow accounts
  • Confident leading, motivating and developing a team
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on targets and performance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of health & safety standards
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Hours
7am‑4.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am‑12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday
21 days plus Bank Holidays
