We are looking for a dependable and proactive Assistant Branch Manager to join the team at our newly opened Lords Builders Merchants branch in Bicester. If you enjoy being hands-on, working closely with customers and colleagues, and keeping operations running smoothly, this is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Working alongside the Branch Manager, you will support all areas of the branch — from sales and customer service to stock control, purchasing, and team coordination. You will play a key role in helping the branch grow, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a great experience for every customer.

What you will do:

  • Assist with daily branch operations and team supervision
  • Help manage stock, transport, and purchasing processes
  • Support the sales team and engage with customers to drive business growth
  • Maintain health & safety and company standards across the branch
  • Support staff development and performance, including HR administration
  • Handle admin duties such as cash reconciliation and banking
  • Contribute to excellent branch presentation and customer service

Hours: 7am–5pm Monday to Friday, 7am–12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
