We’re looking for people who understand that examinations are about more than papers, clocks and exam desks. They are an important opportunity for our pupils to demonstrate what they have learnt, the hard work they have put in and what they are capable of achieving.
As an Invigilator at Lord Wandsworth College, you’ll play an important role in creating an environment where pupils can concentrate, feel confident and do their best, ensuring examinations are conducted fairly, securely and in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Working alongside our Examinations Manager, Lead Invigilators and wider academic support team, you’ll help deliver internal examinations, including mocks, and external examinations, including GCSEs and A levels. Your responsibilities will include preparing examination rooms, welcoming and seating candidates, distributing and collecting papers securely, maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring examination rules are followed.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and approachable, with clear communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You’ll be comfortable working as part of a team, managing your time effectively and using your own initiative when needed.
Above all, you’ll understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and treating every pupil fairly and respectfully. Attention to detail is essential, as even the smallest things contribute to a smooth-running examination and a positive experience for our pupils.
You don’t need to be at the front of a classroom to make a difference to education. Sometimes, it’s the people behind the scenes who help everything come together.
