We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspiring Head of Spanish to lead the development of Spanish within the Modern Foreign Languages Department at Lord Wandsworth College. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and grow Spanish within a forward-thinking and aspirational school community. Responsibilities

  • Outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire a love of language learning and global citizenship.
  • Lead by example in teaching and curriculum design while contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required and in accordance with the College's policies under the direction of the Headmaster.
  • Teach with full engagement in the life of the College, including tutoring, co-curricular activities, boarding house duties where applicable, cover duties, and attendance at parents' evenings.
  • Liaise with parents as an important part of the role.

Requirements

  • Experience as an outstanding classroom practitioner, delivering excellent teaching in Spanish.
  • Leadership experience in curriculum design and school-wide coordination.
  • Understanding of inclusive and accessible teaching practices.
