The Role

Critical to the continued success of our client business in the UK will be the appointment of a high calibre and entrepreneurial Sales Director or Managing Director to lead them through a period of growth, change and opportunity. Reporting directly to the CEO based in Europe, your key responsibility will be:

  • To lead the implementation of the commercial strategy, in line with the Group\’s vision to exceed customer expectations in terms of sales, profit and new business
  • To play a key role in influencing and negotiating with demanding and challenging stakeholders within Blue-Chip key accounts within a variety of regulated sectors. (e.g. Chemical, Construction, Infrastructure or Rail)
  • Providing decisive and highly visible leadership, you will be tasked with implementing strategies to transform the business and improve its performance across all product ranges
  • To provide pro-active expertise, advice and governance on all New Bids, Tenders and Framework agreements

Your profile

A professionally qualified Engineer, with extensive experience of highly regulated environments. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Commercial management of framework agreements and leading the commercial review process
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new accounts/markets
  • Possess a strong financial acumen and experience in working to challenging but realistic sales targets
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of quickly building credibility both internally and externally
