Production and Materials Planning - Manufacturing
Up to £50,000 DOE Gloucester
The role:
- Lead and manage the Planning team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
- Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, S&OP, material scheduling and forecasting
- Implement and improve planning process controls and systems
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels for raw materials, WIP and finished goods
- Drive OTIF (On-Time In Full) performance and resolve delivery concerns using 8D/PPS tools
- Support the introduction of new products and processes from a planning perspective
- Develop and report on planning KPIs, budgets and improvement plans
- Support internal and external audit requirements and supplier performance reviews
The person:
- Experienced Planning Manager with a strong track record in complex manufacturing environments
- Skilled in ERP systems (preferably IFS / SAP or similar) and planning methodologies including finite scheduling, S&OP and capacity planning
- Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to mentor and guide effectively
- Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings (including GD&T)
- Open to change and improvement, ideally with exposure to lean methodologies
