Our client is a leading tier 1 utility company delivering power and energy projects across the UK. As a trusted delivery partner to multiple DNOs specialising in the construction, refurbishment, and upgrade of 11kV, 33kV and 132kV networks.
They are expanding the delivery capability and looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the successful execution of our growing DNO portfolio.

Operations Manager Key Essentials:
- Reporting to the Operations Director, as Operations Manager your role will involve leading the operational delivery of DNO infrastructure works from pre-construction through to completion, with overall contract values up to 40M per annum
- Managing teams of Project Managers, Site Agents, Engineers, and subcontractors across multiple sites
- Ensuring compliance with all client specifications, industry standards, and statutory regulations including CDM, HSE & NRSWA
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with DNO clients, fostering trust and ensuring high service standards, helping to increase workload
- Developing and maintaining delivery programmes using MS Project, resource plans, and performance dashboards
- Supporting commercial teams with the tender process, project forecasting, cost tracking, and change management under NEC form of contract
- Conducting safety & quality audits and performance reviews to drive best practice
- Champion a proactive culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement
Operations Manager Requirements:
- Proven track record in senior operational leadership of HV or EHV projects in DNO frameworks or ICP works
- Deep understanding of DNO standards, construction methods, and SHEQ compliance
- Commercially astute with NEC forms of contract, good understanding of tender process, contract delivery and cost control
- Effective people manager with experience leading multi-site delivery teams
