Day rate Outside IR35 Project - West Midlands - 6 months (possible extension)
This is an important Interim project lead role, supporting this PE backed consumer goods manufacturing business through this transformational implementation. The role is responsible for the full lifecycle deployment of cloud software to unify manufacturing operations with direct-to-consumer sales. This role will bridge the gap between factory-floor capacity and D2C demand by mapping and optimising production workflows, inventory, and fulfilment.
Project Responsibilities
- Manage project lifecycles and Configuration of system automated workflows from initial fit-gap analysis through data migration, cross-functional testing, go-live, and post-production support.
- Enforce project governance by tracking budgets, controlling scope creep, managing risks, and providing status updates to executive stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end implementations of the Cloud ERP platform, focusing heavily on the Manufacturing Suite and Commerce Edition.
- Map manufacturing workflows to handle high-frequency, smaller-batch B2C orders, including Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and advanced scheduling.
- Integrate sales and e-commerce platforms with ERP platform to ensure real-time synchronization of pricing, stock levels, and order status.
- Optimize inventory management across multi-site warehouse and production sites to balance raw material manufacturing inputs with B2C fulfilment cycles.
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of ERP project management experience; 2-3 years of hands-on implementation work within cloud-based systems such as Acumatica ecosystem or similar (Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor, etc).
- Manufacturing Expertise: Proven background in manufacturing environments, with deep knowledge of time-phased MRP, routing, and capacity planning.
- B2C/D2C Commerce: Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer logistics, payment processing, and customer data management.
- Certifications: Active Acumatica badges (e.g., Manufacturing Suite, Commerce Suite) are highly desirable, alongside PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies.
