About the role
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in automation? Our client is a global leader in advanced automation solutions, delivering cutting-edge design, installation, and commissioning services for high-profile manufacturing, industrial and FMCG clients. Due to continued growth and expansion across the UK, they are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to lead key customer automation projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery across multiple advanced automation design & installation projects.
- Working remotely from within the UK, you will coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Lead complex automation projects across the UK and potentially Europe when required.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, and associated resources.
- Liaise with internal engineering teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.
- Oversee design, installation and commissioning phases on-site.
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards and industry best practices.
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and delivery excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing high value automation or industrial engineering projects.
- A strong understanding of automation technologies and systems (PLC, SCADA, robotics, WMS etc.).
- Background in manufacturing, logistics, process, 3PL or packaging sectors preferred.
- Proven senior stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and potentially Europe.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract/project cost control expertise.
