We are partnering with a long-established and highly respected organisation based near Cheltenham, seeking a talented Buyer to join their growing procurement function. This is a high-impact role that offers real autonomy, variety and the chance to shape the future of the supply chain.
The role:
- As a Buyer you'll be taking the lead on sourcing, negotiating and managing supplier relationships.
- You'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth, cost-effective purchasing processes and supporting new product development through strategic sourcing initiatives.
- You'll be a go-to person within the team - from contract management and cost analysis to risk mitigation and process improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Independently manage end-to-end procurement of materials, components and services.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and contract terms with both new and existing suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity and performance.
- Support product development by identifying and onboarding new suppliers.
- Conduct cost and supply chain analysis, driving continuous improvements.
- Monitor PPV and other KPIs to deliver on commercial targets.
- Work across departments to align procurement activity with broader business goals.
- Champion best practices and help evolve procurement strategy alongside leadership.
The person:
- Previous experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Solid analytical abilities and comfort with data and reporting tools.
- ERP/MRP system proficiency (any system considered).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Self-motivated, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Strategic sourcing background.
