Our client is a well-established financial services business headquartered in Birmingham. Operating in a highly regulated environment, the firm delivers a broad range of services across the UK market and is recognised for its commitment to operational excellence, robust governance, and client-centric service. As the business continues to evolve and adapt to regulatory and market demands, they are now seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to strengthen their finance function.
This newly created role will report directly to the CFO and take ownership of the finance function. You will play a critical part in maintaining financial control and regulatory compliance while also supporting the strategic development of the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Statutory and management reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Leading the production of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Managing internal controls and process improvement initiatives
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 5 years' experience in a senior financial leadership role within a regulated financial services business. With a good understanding of FCA regulations and a strong technical background, you will be confident leading and mentoring a team, able to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders.
