Financial Control Manager

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months

Rate: 245 p/d Umbrella

The Emergency Services Network (ESN) is a significant strategic initiative for our client, aiming to provide the most advanced emergency services network globally. Our client is the official supplier of mission-critical communications for Britain\’s Emergency Services. ESN will replace the Airwave network, leveraging EE\’s existing 4G infrastructure to deliver essential voice, data, and critical communication services to 300,000 frontline emergency personnel.

As the Financial Control Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis, you will support this vital infrastructure by ensuring accurate and timely financial forecasting and budgeting across the organization, Networks, and the ESN Senior Leadership Team. Your responsibilities include quarterly reporting to the Home Office on actuals and forecasts, as well as leading process improvements in forecasting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning and forecasting to support decision-making across multiple programs within the ESN contract.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to analyze program performance and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Manage the Quarterly Financial Reporting (QFR) to the Home Office, including contractual forecasts.
  • Drive process automation and optimization to handle program data efficiently.
  • Ensure financial integrity through the implementation of complex process and policy changes.
