The role: Reporting to and deputising for the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the Warehouse, Pick, Pack, Despatch and Transport operations. Your primary objective will be to deliver efficient, cost-effective operations that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Supervise pick pack despatch processes to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate transport logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to achieve their full potential.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pick, pack, despatch, warehouse and transport operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
