Logistics Leadership in a Fast-Paced Production EnvironmentAdvanced Manufacturing & EngineeringManchesterUp to £50,000 pa + Private Healthcare + Bonus + Extensive Benefits PackageWe are partnering with a well-established and highly respected advanced manufacturing business based in the Manchester area who are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and manage a broad-ranging logistics function within a complex and fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands on leadership role with end-to-end responsibility across warehousing, inbound/outbound logistics, export compliance, internal movements, and material handling operations-with a focus on driving inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and continuous improvement.You'll work closely with operations and planning teams to ensure seamless material flow, excellent OTIF performance, and world-class inventory accuracy.The Role:
- Leading a small but capable logistics team to meet daily operational goals
- Drive the effective management of the Goods-In and internal logistics processes to ensure that all material is received and moved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Drive the effective management of the warehouse facility to ensure that all material is stored safely and efficiently with a focus on inventory control and accuracy.
- Ensuring goods in, storage, packing, and shipping run like clockwork
- Managing racking safety, MHE fleet performance, and export compliance
- Driving inventory control processes and maintaining ERP data accuracy
- Shaping the logistics function's strategic direction alongside senior leadership
The Person:
- Logistics leadership experience in a complex manufacturing setting
- Hands on mindset with a level of autonomy required to deliver results
- ERP fluency – IFS or similar system experience is a big plus
- Strong trade compliance knowledge (import/export)
- Racking inspection / Forklift trainer qualifications desirable
- A methodical, detail-focused leader with a passion for continuous improvement
