We're on the lookout for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a forward-thinking engineering business that's serious about safety. You'll lead from the front, managing day-to-day tactical HSE activities while helping to shape long-term strategy and drive best practice across the site.
The Role:
- Leading onsite health & safety management with a clear focus on legal compliance and continuous improvement
- Driving implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 H&S systems
- Delivering hands-on risk assessments, audits, inspections and behavioural safety initiatives
- Investigating incidents and driving real root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Empowering teams through engaging toolbox talks, training sessions, and committee leadership
- Promoting a culture of ownership and proactive safety engagement across all levels
The Person:
- Strong HSE experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering setting
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Diploma desirable)
- In-depth knowledge of UK H&S law and ISO 45001 requirements
- A confident communicator, influencer and collaborator with a sharp eye for risk and compliance
- Passion for people, continuous improvement, and embedding positive behavioural change
