Role Summary: The Chairman of the Lord Mayor’s Charity leads the Board of Trustees in fulfilling its governance responsibilities, ensuring the charity meets its objectives, operates within its legal and financial framework, and maintains high standards of integrity, transparency, and impact. As a key ambassador, the Chairman supports the Lord Mayor in promoting the charity, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the success of fundraising and awareness campaigns. This is a voluntary role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance and Leadership
- Provide leadership to the Board of Trustees in developing and fulfilling the charity's mission.
- Chair board meetings effectively, encouraging open and constructive discussion.
- Ensure the board fulfils its duties in legal compliance, strategic direction, and financial oversight.
