Contract: Permanent, full-time (Monday-Friday on a Rota Basis)

Location: Candidates' main office base will be at Lord Derby Academy. Regular travel between all Trust sites will be required as part of the role.

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced Estates Manager to take operational responsibility for ensuring our school environments are safe, compliant, well maintained, and fit for purpose across Park View Academy, Blacklow Brow Primary School, and the Lord Derby Academy Hub in Huyton. This is a critical role within The Dean Trust, providing strategic and operational leadership across multiple sites. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of estates services, including planned and reactive maintenance, health and safety compliance, statutory testing, site security, and the effective management of premises and facilities.

At Lord Derby Academy, the main secondary school building operates under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangement. The successful candidate will, however, retain direct responsibility for the Trust-owned LDA Hub, ensuring that its maintenance, compliance, security, and day-to-day operation are managed to the same high standards as our primary academy sites.

Reporting to the Head of Estates Operations, you will lead and support dedicated site teams across these locations, ensuring consistent standards, effective communication, and a responsive estates service. You will work closely with academy leaders, contractors, and Trust colleagues to identify priorities, resolve issues, and continuously improve our estates provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estates professional to play a key role in shaping safe, welcoming, and high-quality environments for our pupils and staff, while benefiting from the support, resources, and professional development opportunities available within a forward-thinking multi-academy trust.

In return, we offer a comprehensive employee benefits package, including wellbeing support and professional development opportunities.

Application Closing Date: 10:00am, Tuesday 1st September 2026

Interview Date: Monday 7th September 2026 at Lord Derby Academy.

We are an Equal Opportunities employer committed to ensuring inclusion, diversity and equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates including those from underrepresented groups, and/or with protected characteristics.
