The Governing Body of Lord Derby Academy are seeking to appoint to the position of Deputy Faculty Leader of English. Main or Upper Pay Scale plus TLR2C (current value £8,217.00). Post starts: As soon as possible.

Lord Derby Academy opened on 1st February 2014 and is part of the Multi-Academy Dean Trust. The Dean Trust's core values include an emphasis on a traditional education, excellent discipline and the instilling of respect. Lord Derby Academy follows a three-year Key Stage 3 curriculum and two-year Key Stage 4 curriculum. As the Deputy Faculty Leader for English, you will support the leadership and management of a very strong team of staff in school. You will also work as part of, and be supported by, a Trust-wide Improvement Partnership team, to support and implement ambitious curriculum pathways.

The ideal candidate will play a role in supporting the drive forward of the English Faculty as we continue to accelerate progress in all key areas through our high standards and expectations. The successful candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status.

We are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and we expect all our staff to share this commitment. Enhanced DBS vetting procedures are required for all posts.
