The Company
As a proven market leader in the manufacturing, logistics and industrial packaging world, this well established and highly profitable organisation is seeking to appoint a board level Sales & Marketing Director to lead their aggressive growth strategy over the next 3-5 years. This senior appointment to their well-established commercial team will be responsible for leading new business development, developing the established key accounts and managing customer relations to achieve strong growth across the organisation in line with the defined business strategy and extensive investment program.
The Role
The Sales & Marketing Director will be responsible for leading and motivating a dedicated team of Sales Managers, new business executives, customer account managers and customer service professionals to develop and maximise the relationships and revenue generation across their impressive portfolio of UK based clients while exploiting all avenues of new business generation.
They will support the strategic development of the business goals and revenue growth into tangible budgets and sales targets and will be responsible for the achievement of these across the commercial function as a whole. Recruitment, development and retention of sales and commercial staff will be a high priority as will the promotion of the company and its products and services to the wider customer network.
The Person
As an experienced and proven Sales, Marketing and Commercial leader, you will have demonstrable experience in the packaging, FMCG or a related industry space and will understand the requirements and legislation surrounding this growing and dynamic sector. You will have proven experience in leading, managing and mentoring large sales and marketing teams alongside commercial targets/budgets and will be able to translate strategic plans into deployable targets and goals across a team in order to deliver best in class results and maximise both sales and profitability.
