Our client is a market-leading business that has seen impressive growth over recent years and continues to build real momentum. Following a significant uplift in new business, they are now strengthening their head office finance team with the appointment of an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant. This is a business that invests in its people, encourages curiosity and rewards those who want to progress.
The Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager as part of a collaborative head office finance team, this role offers variety, pace and exposure across the wider business. It is ideally suited to someone progressing through their ACCA or CIMA studies who is keen to build a broad skillset and take real ownership of their work. You will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and month-end journals, while also maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, cashbook and weekly cashflow forecasts.
You will be involved in VAT and Intrastat reporting, contribute to the budgeting and reforecasting process, and support ad-hoc projects alongside the Finance Manager and CFO. It’s a hands-on role where no two days look the same and where your input will genuinely matter.
The Person
This role will suit someone of graduate calibre who is actively studying ACCA or CIMA and is genuinely motivated to become fully qualified. You’ll be naturally inquisitive, enjoy getting to the bottom of problems and be confident asking questions to understand the “why” behind the numbers. With experience in a similar role, you’ll be comfortable producing accurate financial information to deadlines and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
