The Company
Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial professional services group with a national footprint and ambitious plans for continued expansion. Having already achieved significant growth, the business is now entering an important stage in its development, with further organic growth, acquisitions and potential future investment forming part of its strategy. To support these ambitions, the group is looking to strengthen its senior leadership team with the appointment of an experienced Finance Director.
The Role
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take overall responsibility for finance across a growing group, providing the commercial and financial insight required to support strategic decision-making. You will improve management information and visibility of business performance, lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and strategic planning, and ensure robust reporting, controls and governance are in place. A key part of the role will be supporting the group's acquisition and buy-and-build strategy, including financial modelling, investment appraisal, due diligence and post-deal integration. You will also work closely with operational and commercial leaders across the business, develop the finance team and wider finance capability, strengthen systems and processes and drive greater use of automation and technology. As the business continues to scale, you will play an important role in ensuring the group has the financial infrastructure, insight and capability required to support future growth and investment.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with significant senior finance experience gained within a growing, commercially focused organisation. You will ideally have experience within professional services or another people-led business, with exposure to acquisitions, integration, transformation and business growth. Commercially astute, hands-on and confident operating at Board level, you will combine strong technical and analytical capability with the ability to influence, challenge and support the wider business. Experience of developing management information, improving finance functions and operating within an entrepreneurial environment would be particularly attractive. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious organisation at an important stage in its development, with significant scope to influence both the growth strategy and future value creation.
