About You

We are seeking an experienced UK-based Business Development Manager with established connections in the logistics, freight, or trade ecosystem in the UK. This is a high-impact, target-driven role for a commercially minded professional who can win new B2B business, manage relationships, and drive trade volumes between the UK and Nigeria. You will serve as our client’s primary commercial representative in the UK, generating leads, closing deals, and building a long-term portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure clients for export to and import from Nigeria.
  • Represent our services professionally, building trust and credibility with UK companies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Nigerian diaspora-owned businesses seeking reliable logistics.
  • Engage Nigerian diaspora-owned businesses looking for reliable logistics to and from home.
  • Provide weekly progress updates against agreed KPIs.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet growth targets.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Someone already connected to the logistics, freight, or trade ecosystem in the UK.
  • Proven ability to sell B2B services in logistics, freight, or supply chain.
  • Strong communicator who can explain services clearly to UK businesses.
  • Strategic thinker with action-oriented execution.
  • Comfortable working independently with results-driven focus.
  • Global Networking and Exposure.

Benefits:

  • Compensation Models (Flexible Based on Experience)
  • Option 1: Retainer + Commission - £500 to £1,000/month net retainer, 5% to 10% commission on all closed business, Bonus for hitting milestone performance (e.g., £500 bonus for £25,000+ volume closed), KPIs will be enforced — minimum: 2 active clients in first 30 days, 5 by end of Q1.
  • Option 2: Commission Only - 10% to 15% commission per transaction, Bonus for volume achievements, Must close first deal within 30 days, KPIs will apply as above to ensure delivery and consistency.
