About the Data Migration Specialist Role
This role ensures merchants move to Loop smoothly by owning the technical side of onboarding and subscription data migration. You will manage end-to-end migration workflows, support onboarding specialists, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high data accuracy with zero-error execution. The role blends backend operations, basic scripting, Shopify know-how, testing, and documentation ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with data, and enabling seamless merchant go-lives.
Responsibilities
- Client Onboarding: Collaborate with the onboarding specialists to understand the technical requirements and ensure smooth onboarding of the merchants.
- Data migration: Own the migration infrastructure to help merchants migrate their subscriptions data from their previous platform to Loop ensuring no data loss and errors.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients during the onboarding process, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for common configurations, data migration process and popular troubleshooting for speed resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure no escalations or issues reported after the merchant is onboarded.
- Shopify Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Shopify to better assist merchants in having the custom requirements implemented as per the expectation.
Ideal Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.
- Proficiency in Excel and Python scripts.
- Experience in working with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify, is a significant advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required.
