Loop is an ecommerce software company serving over 5,000 of the best brands on Shopify, like Bombas, Brooklinen, Cotopaxi, Reebok, and Ruggable. For our brands, we power critical parts of the shopping experience – like tracking, returns, editing, and logistics – ensuring customers always have confidence that packages will arrive on time, fit as expected, and be refunded or exchanged if it doesn’t work out. We pioneered the returns category and are actively expanding our product suite to support new areas of innovation: tracking, warranties, shipping protection, fraud prevention, fit analysis, and more.

As a Solutions Engineer based in the UK, you will work closely with prospective and existing merchants across EMEA and APAC to explain the technologies, systems, and processes that power Loop, and to deeply understand each merchant’s needs, pain points, and technical capabilities. You will partner with our Sales, Onboarding, and Merchant Success teams to ensure that new merchants are able to launch quickly and smoothly with Loop, across a wide spread of carriers, 3PLs, warehouse setups, and commerce architectures in international markets.

At Loop, we’re intentional about the way we work so that we can do our best work. We call this our Blended Working Environment. We work from our HQ in Columbus, OH, or one of our Hub or Secluded locations, and are distributed throughout the United States, select Canadian provinces, United Kingdom, and Australia. For this position, we’re looking for someone to join us in London, UK.

What You’ll Do:

  • Become an expert on Loop’s platform, ecosystem, and integrations, including the carrier, 3PL, OMS, WMS, and tax/compliance partners most common in EMEA and APAC, staying up to date on the latest builds.
  • Provide technical support to our Sales, Post Sales, and Partner teams through Slack, in-person and virtual meetings, with availability that works across UK, European, and APAC time zones when needed.
  • Vet and close deals from a technical requirements perspective, collaborating with Sales, development partners, and agencies operating in EMEA and APAC markets.
  • Create customised product demos and proofs-of-concept, including front-end configurations and region-specific scenarios such as cross-border returns, multi-currency, VAT/IOSS handling, and localised carrier flows, and present these solutions to internal and external audiences.
  • Become an SME on our APIs, webhooks, integrations, and front-end customizations for both internal and external partners, including merchants running headless, composable, or non-Shopify-native architectures.
  • Partner closely with merchants and agencies to scope and recommend solutions, including customizations to the shopper-facing return experience and the back-end logistics flows that sit behind it (3PL handoffs, warehouse receiving, label generation, reverse logistics protocols).
  • Help enable our Sales teams on the technical aspects of Loop, ensuring they’re confident in articulating product capabilities to merchants in market.
  • See and improve the whole system: solve new problems, evaluate workarounds, collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design, and explore creative ways to develop on the Loop platform.

Your Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B pre-sales solutions engineering, technical sales, or technical consulting, ideally with exposure to merchants or customers headquartered in the UK, EU, or APAC.
  • Hands-on experience with logistics, 3PL, and warehouse systems and protocols.
  • You’ve worked with or alongside 3PLs and fulfilment partners, understand how WMS systems handle inbound returns, and can speak credibly about receiving workflows, restocking, label generation, and reverse logistics.
  • Familiarity with regional carriers (Royal Mail, Evri, DPD, DHL, GLS, Australia Post, Yamato, Japan Post, SF Express, etc.), cross-border returns, customs documentation, and VAT/IOSS implications is a strong plus.
  • Strong integrations background across diverse commerce architectures.
  • You’re comfortable reasoning about how Loop sits inside a merchant’s broader stack, Shopify and Shopify Plus, but also headless and composable builds, bespoke OMS/WMS pairings, ERP systems (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP), tax engines (Avalara, Vertex), and regional compliance tooling.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the desire to tackle challenges head-on and proactively.
  • Solid understanding of how web components operate, browsers, APIs, webhooks, servers, and the ability to walk non-technical audiences through end-to-end flows.
  • Experience with front-end development concepts, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and an understanding of how to scope or advise on customer-facing UI customisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, you’re engaging, influential, helpful, candid, and can adapt your style to meet the needs of any audience.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities across overlapping time zones.
  • A track record of improving your role by seeking coaching, creating new processes, and elevating team knowledge through shared content.
