Location: Remote (occasional travel to Newcastle or Manchester — Ideally once a week)

Day Rate: ~£500/day (inside IR35 - Expenses covered)

Overview: We’re partnering with a leading business delivering a high-profile operational change programme. They need 2 experienced Project Managers to drive change across operational teams, ensuring new processes, systems and ways of working are embedded efficiently and sustainably.

The role: You’ll lead delivery of operational change initiatives, working closely with Ops, Product and Technology to translate requirements into operational readiness and measurable business outcomes. This is a hands-on role for a delivery-focused PM comfortable operating at pace in a complex, high-volume environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of operational change programmes and workstreams
  • Manage RAID logs, governance, status reporting and programme tracking
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Operations, Product and IT/Engineering
  • Drive operational readiness: cutover planning, training, runbooks, and post-live support
  • Support sprint planning, release coordination and rollout sequencing
  • Define and embed scalable operational processes and delivery frameworks
  • Engage senior stakeholders, manage expectations and drive decisions to resolution
  • Track benefits and highlight measurable operational improvements

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven Project Management experience delivering operational change
  • Strong track record in operational readiness, process redesign or system-to-process integration
  • Excellent stakeholder management, planning and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working with Product, Agile/Scrum teams and technical delivery leads
  • Delivery-focused, proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple concurrent priorities
