Senior Software Engineer

Overview

I’m offering a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join an established scale-up. You’ll work collaboratively in full-stack, multi-disciplinary teams where everyone is hands-on across all stages of development.

Responsibilities

• Backends are serverless AWS Lambda services using TypeScript & Node.js.
• Infrastructure is hosted in AWS, defined as code, containerised on ECS, and we’re embracing serverless and other cloud-native technologies.
• Operational data stores are a combination of MongoDB and AWS managed relational databases.

Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and ReactJS. You don’t need to have experience with all of these, but you should be an experienced developer capable of working with these tools.
• Experience with automated testing and a desire to practice TDD.
• A good understanding of SOLID design principles.
• A strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience deploying, maintaining, and owning systems through CI/CD pipelines within cloud-based infrastructure.
